About Me

Erika Bischoff, LCSW

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has worked over ten years in the field in both northern and southern California. I graduated with a Masters in Social Work from the University of Texas at Austin in 2005. My clinical experience has included working with individuals and families who are dealing with a variety of mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, trauma, and grief/loss. I specialize in providing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with my clients but can also provide a range of other therapeutic modalities as needed.

A primary focus of my practice is working with mood and anxiety disorders that can often lead to addictive and self-harmful behaviors. I have specific experience in working with adults and older adults who are struggling with major mental illnesses, substance abuse, and psychosocial stressors that negatively impact functioning. I also work with individuals and families who are dealing with elder-care issues, dementia, stress, grief/loss, anger management, relationship issues, and addictive behaviors.

Clinical Supervisor

I also provide clinical supervision to ASWs and MFT-interns who are working towards their licensure hours with the Board of Behavioral Sciences. My objective in clinical supervision is to assess, evaluate and help supervises learn and grow in their profession. Click here for more information about my clinical supervision services.

Life Coach

I also provide life coaching services which allows me to work with clients on a national and international level. In addition, sometimes individuals or couples would like specific tools to help make the changes they desire but feel that therapy is not quite right for them – a life coach is a great alternative.
